After converting the loft, all of the things that were stored in the loft were just on top of the insulation. We have some space in the loft that is 2.5m by 2m which is raised off the insulation, so we framed it out and boarded it. We then put down some boards and added carpet on the top so that boxes could be pushed along. All of the items fit nicely in the space with everything now off the insulation.
