Dad and I went to Oldfield Forge for a knife making session which was my birthday present from my parents. I had wanted to do knife making for years and i was really excited to do it. We started with a blank and had to forge the handle curves and then thin the blade out with the hammer and then finally drifting a hole. This process took us the morning and then after lunch we worked on brinding the blad and then quenching it in oil before grinding back the blade part. I am really pleased with how it turned out, it still needs a handle putting on it but I will do that at home.
